PETA is a Insulting Cult

Name calling and puts downs are stock in trade for PETA. (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) They are mercilessly deployed against anyone who resists conforming to the groups cult animal rights beliefs. Recent kind acts include publicly labeling impressionable young girls as 'trolls', 'hags' and a 'maggot'. And to get there point across they have to call girls whores and trash. While PETA strives to find their ethical bottom, they may have gone just a little too far with the Olsen twins. What PETA is doing to the Olsen twins can easily be considered harassment. PETA seems to worship in the power of hate.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are so downright heinous in the eyes of PETA's Ingrid Newkirk because they wear firs. The animal rights activist group PETA has created a caricature of the "Full House" childhood stars in which the sisters are dubbed "Trollsen Twins" (Hairy Kate and Trashley) and a movie parody in which a PETA advocate dressed in black and wearing shades calls the girls "trashy fur hags." PETA has even devoted a MySpace page to the Olsen sisters. Under the "About Me" section, it says: "We live under a bridge and wait for furry animals to walk by so we can skin them and wear them as hats." The site also lists "Cruella Deville" as the twins' "Hero." PETA is encouraging animal lovers to send clumps of hair to the twins as a birthday gift.

A more tactful approach could have made a larger impact on public opinion concerning the use of furs. Insulting people just makes everyone angry. PETA could use some new PR people.
