PETA ( People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) claims to love animals, but they don't have much respect for women. It's always been surprising to me how PETA seems to enjoy putting women in cages, forcing them to have oral sex with vegetables and veggie dogs, billboards with women in their underwear, posing naked, having women showering in public, doing a strip tease and much more.
The sexists treatment of women and the frightening messages delivered to children are the normal part of doing business for PETA. The following billboard ad link below shows a woman whose "blubber" is spilling over the sides of her swimsuit bottom. The caption on the billboard reads " Save the Whales, loose the blubber, go vegetarian" I guess it would go without saying that the feminists are more then a little upset at PETA (again).
"Trying to hide your thunder thighs and balloon belly is no day at the beach," says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. Peta uses sexist, racist, homophobia, and otherwise horrifying stunts to garner media attention....and these are supposed to be your animal rights people. PETA stands for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. Placing naked women in cages has nothing what-so-ever to with helping out animals in need. PETA is not supporting the fight against the exploitation and abuse against women and in fact is adding to the problem. Women do not belong in cages, it doesn't get any more simple then that. In an effort to get PETA's standards even lower...in May of 2008, PETA put a 12 year old girl in a cage.
SEX SELLS. PETA has gotten so out of control and offensive that in the Philippines in 2007, customs seized several inflatable sex dolls with a banner reading, "K.F.C. Blows." Donated money from kind people who believed their money was going to help out animals, went into buying inflatable sex dolls. What's next??
